Kella Hanna-Wayne

& the Blueprint System

We are disabled, chronically and mentally ill, freelance creatives from Eugene, Oregon. We specialize in educational writing about civil rights, disability, trauma, and Dissociative Identity Disorder. In 2017, we created the social justice blog, Yopp, a resource-hub dedicated to consolidating the do’s and don’ts of social justice into clear, overarching principles. Yopp has since published hundreds of articles, including work by 20+ marginalized writers. Our writing has also been published in the Ms. Magazine blog, The BeZine, and Splain’ You a Thing, and in fall of 2022, we released a self-published book of poetry, “Pet: the Journey from Abuse to Recovery”.

In addition to our writing, we regularly create new digital art, often following similar themes as our blog. We started out designing stickers and T-shirts for in 2020, later branching out into full illustrations and digital paintings, including the cover of our poetry book. We have since created more than 50 repeat patterns that we sell on fabric on Spoonflower and a wide range of designs intended for marginalized communities sold on a range of products on our Etsy store KellaCoCreations

While writing and digital art are two of our biggest focuses, we are always getting involved in new creative projects: from Youtube videos to gluten-free recipes, we have a lot of creations to share with you. This website is intended to put all of those endeavors in one place.

We call ourselves The Blueprint System because our system is always focused on collaborating, organizing, and creating in order to turn ideas into real, tangible things. Everything we create is a group effort. So, let me introduce you to some of our individual system members:

Kella

Kella is the original creator of our social justice blog Yopp, the head writer, editor, and the manager of submissions. She is the name and face you likely associate with our work. In her spare time, she loves working on art projects, engaging in lively conversations with our cat Rosa, and working to build a life together with the other alters in her system, who are the reason she is still here today.

AJ

AJ is a contributing writer for Yopp, as well as our website designer, and primary graphics designer. She is the reason we have social justice themed merchandise to sell and created the original concept for Yopp’s logo. She loves creating digital forms of visual art and working on our strength training treatment program for our disability.

Amy

Amy is a writer too but her focus is on writing creative non-fiction and poetry. She was one of the primary writers and editors of our poetry book, “Pet: the Journey from Abuse to Recovery.” She is also leading our efforts to start a Youtube channel talking about DID. She loves spending time with friends and listening to music.

Hazel

Hazel is another contributing writer at Yopp, as well as our main social media manager. Baking is her passion, so she is responsible for the majority of the delicious recipes published on glutenfreenom.com. She loves cooking comforting meals, DJing, and dancing Argentine Tango as our disabled body allows.

Liz

Liz just likes to help with a little bit of everything, in order to keep on top of our many to-do lists.

Holly

Holly’s greatest love is for DJing for social dances, followed only by her love for our long-term partner.

Natalie

Natalie is excitedly focused on the weekly Argentine Tango dance that we help organize in Eugene, Oregon.

Jessica

Jessica is our primary editor for  guest posts published by Yopp.

Billy

Billy is one of our primary digital artists, but he also enjoys traditional art drawn with colored pencils.

Shelby

By far the youngest member of our team, Shelby is an amazing artist and lover of animals.

Sylvia

Sylvia served as a technical editor for our book of poetry and an active developer in formatting the ebook.
